🍎 Mac Users - Important Note:

"VocalForge.pkg cannot be opened" or Security Warning During Installation
⚠️ This is normal for unsigned packages on macOS.

Solution:

1. Don't try to open the .pkg again yet
2. Go to System Preferences (or System Settings on macOS 13+)
3. Click Privacy & Security
4. Scroll down - you'll see: "VocalForge.pkg was blocked from use because it is not from an identified developer"
5. Click the "Open Anyway" button next to this message
6. Enter your admin password when prompted
7. Now double-click VocalForge.pkg again - the installer will launch normally
8. Follow the installation wizard

You only need to do this once. After bypassing security for the installer, all installed components (VST3, AU, Standalone) will work without additional security prompts.

Code-signing requires a $99/year Apple Developer account - that cost would be passed to you. I'd rather keep the plugin affordable.

Q: Why did my DAW crash with an error with VocalForge?
A: It has come to my attention that opening and closing the plugin really fast will cause a crash. This will be fixed in the next update. If you cant open a project because of it, Remove VocalForge from your plugins folders, Reload the project (It will say "VocalForge not found"), Resave your project, and then reinstall VocalForge and reopen your project. This is a temporary fix for right now.

Q: Will this work in my DAW?
A: Yes! Works in any VST3 or AU-compatible DAW (FL Studio, Ableton Live, Logic Pro, Reaper, Studio One, Cubase, Pro Tools, GarageBand, Bitwig, etc.)

Q: How does this compare to "____" plugin?
A: VocalForge matches or exceeds the quality of plugins costing $200. The pitch correction algorithm uses the same professional techniques, the de-esser matches industry standard behavior, and the multiband compression is every bit as powerful. You're getting professional results without the professional price tag.

Q: Can I really drag modules around?
A: Yes! Every module in the Cleanup, Enhance, and Space tabs can be dragged up and down to change the processing order. Your custom order is saved with each preset.

Q: What's the difference between Simple and Advanced EQ modes?
A: Simple mode gives you 4 intuitive knobs (Intensity, Remove Mud, Reduce Harshness, Add Presence) with preset starting points. Advanced mode reveals a full 7 band parametric EQ with frequency response visualization, individual band controls, and multiple filter types. Both modes work together seamlessly.

Q: 21-23ms latency for pitch correction, is that actually good?
A: Yes! That's extremely low. Most professional pitch correction plugins have 50-150ms+ latency. We achieved this with a fast harmonic autocorrelation algorithm that rivals hardware units. I do plan on moving towards a FFT algorithm to reduce latency further for live monitoring.

Q: Mac version?
A: Yes! Full support for macOS 10.13+ including Apple Silicon (M1/M2/M3/M4). Both Intel and ARM architectures supported natively.

Q: Can I use this commercially?
A: Absolutely. One license = unlimited commercial projects. Use it on client work, streaming, albums, whatever.

Q: How many modules can I have active at once?
A: All 9 modules can run simultaneously. Smart CPU optimization means you can run the full chain without performance issues.
